Find out what you're actually charging. Not what's on the invoice.
This isn't a pricing problem. It's a Good Girl problem.
You didn't decide to undercharge. You were trained to. Trained to be helpful, easy, low-maintenance. Trained to over-give so no one would call you difficult. Trained to read everyone's discomfort as your fault to fix.
Then you started a business. And the same patterns walked in with you. The discount you didn't want to give. The hour that became three. The voice notes at 10pm. The "just this once" that became always.
This tool is going to show you, in actual numbers, what your Good Girl is costing you. Then we'll name the pattern she's running.
Your answers stay on your device. Nothing is sent, saved to a server, or shared. This is for you.

What do you currently charge for a typical session or package?
The number on your website. Not the discounted number you actually let people pay. Your Good Girl loves to say "well it depends what they can afford..." Ignore her for a second. What does the website say?

How long does the actual session take?
Just the booked time. The bit your client thinks she's paying for. In minutes. (We're going to count what your Good Girl gives away on top of this in a second.)

How much prep, follow-up and recovery time do you not count?
Pulling charts. Reading her intake form again. The voice note after. The 20 minutes you need to come back to yourself before the next thing. The "quick" question on Voxer that took half an hour to answer properly. Your Good Girl will not bill for any of this. So she doesn't count it.

How much unpaid emotional labour do you add in?
The crisis WhatsApps you reply to between sessions. The "quick" voice note that turned into a 40-minute therapy session. The carrying-her-around-in-your-body after a hard one. Your Good Girl thinks this is what makes you good at your job. It's actually what makes you free. Per week, across all clients.

How many sessions or clients do you do a week?
Average it out. Don't use the weeks where your Good Girl said yes to one more "because they really needed it." Use a normal week.

How often do you discount, comp, or "just this once" someone?
Sliding scale, payment plans you eat the loss on, throwing in a free session, "let me knock something off because I like you." Your Good Girl thinks discounting is generosity. It's actually her trying to make sure no one's upset with her.
07 of 07
How often does a session run over?
The 60-minute slot that becomes 75. The 90 that becomes 120. The "let me just throw in one more thing" because your Good Girl can't bear to end while there's still a feeling in the room.
